To worship God in the beauty of holiness keeps our worship transcendent and God-centered; that is, it is unrestricted by the world’s style and unpolluted by human self-centeredness. God is absolutely abandoned to the purpose of manifesting the beauty of His character. Holiness is His eternal choice to manifest the pristine beauty of His character. He is the Holy One–this is His crowning attribute that sums up all of His attributes. It is the clear call to make the ultimate sacrifice of abandoning ourselves to one purpose: to let God be God through us–engulfed in the flames of His holiness. The beauty realms of God are deep calling to deep. This is true worship.
