Have you ever had a an old friend show up unexpectedly at your door? Don’t you just love those times! Well, I love it even more when God Himself chooses to pop in. He knows exactly what I need when I need it. The other night I was listening to a message from conference about it depends, it deepens, and it deep ends. All of a sudden, God popped in. I was sitting in my chair listening when I felt Him come and whisk a garment over my head. I immediately knew its purpose and why He had done it. Wow, I deep ended right then and there. Lately, on another occasion, a prophet walked up to my husband and me to give us a word. As the man touched us, God exploded in all three of us and catapulted us to the floor. The only way I can describe what happened is that it was pretty much like an electromagnet came and zapped us. He has a way of sneaking up on us; was I expecting it to happen, NO, He took me off guard, but I totally loved it. I was weak for several hours after that particular encounter. I love God encounters and need everyone He gives me. He has popped into my car as I was driving down the road. One time, He popped into my fireplace in flashes of blue lightning as we were talking about Him and His glory with friends. He loves to overwhelm us with signs, wonders, and miracles. Does it make me marvel at God’s goodness? Oh, YES! Yesterday, He popped in during a Skype session with our pastor friend overseas. I totally love for Him to overtake me and consume me in these ways! I am a total sot for the supernatural, His presence, and His glory. Lately, I have needed his pop in visits more frequently than ever. And He has been quick to come. Invite Him and tell Him that He is welcome, anytime, anyway, and anyhow He chooses to pop in on you. And He will show up when you least expect Him!
How about you? Can you think of times when God has popped in for a visit when you really weren’t expecting it?
