REVISION OF THE PROVISION

Our area of the state has been hit hard with an oil and gas crash–then recently, terribly high winds and horribly devastating fires.  As I am writing this, a huge fire has been burning in our county and surrounding area for almost a week that is still only 70% contained according to the Forestry Dept.   It has burned approximately 90 sq. mi.  Another fire a couple of weeks ago started in Oklahoma and burned all the way into Kansas.  Right now, there is so much destruction and loss.  

Our community has always looked to the oil and gas industry and farming/ranching as our main source of provision.  While meditating on this, I heard the Lord say that He is releasing revision of the provision.  Then, I began to think about what it means to revise something.  It means to rethink, to modify, to alter, to correct; actually, it means to change.  God says He will be our revision which is a change or set of changes that corrects or improves something.  Out of the ashes comes beauty.  We have seen so many come to help–firefighters from here and all across Oklahoma and several surrounding states, first responders, strike teams, the Red Cross, and neighbors friends, and complete strangers lending a helping hand.  And we say, Thank You.

But first the natural then the spirit….  We were talking about this in our Bible Study yesterday.  As we did, the Spirit brought further insight as to what He means by the revision He is releasing right now.

WHAT IS THE REVISION?  It’s His healing oil, the wind of the Spirit, and the fire of His love.

Nothing could stop the wind or the fire when it came.  Four fires came together to produce one large fire.  There were no man-made barriers that could contain it.  It burned so fast and with such fury and intense heat that it was impossible for firefighters to get a handle on it.  The fire started with electricity wires arcing from the high winds–the power produced a fire the likes of which has never been seen before in this area.  The four fires are comparable to the four winds of God in Ezekiel 37:9 and Zechariah 6:5.  These winds represent God’s control over the four corners of the earth.  Like this fire that burned in the natural fueled on by the roaring wind, nothing will be able to stop this release of God’s fiery love combined with His healing oil as it spreads across the earth.
